30. Mai um 12:00 bis 4. Juni um 17:00 (UTC+01)

Portnellan Farm, Loch Lomond, Scotland

Every year the Academy of Historical Arts organises and runs a camping event in the countryside of Scotland. At this camp, participants train in historical European martial arts along with various traditional handcrafts; disciplines are diverse, ranging from German longsword and weaving to Highland broadsword and crafting with leather. It is also an opportunity for participants to learn and to practice archery (and other missile weapons), making best use of the open countryside for an experience that is difficult to find in a city environment.

The event involves three meals a day that are provided free of charge, a fully stocked general store with snack and other goodies for sale at low prices, the Corsair's Wares shop stocked with many of our popular items, the now famous Mead bar where we supply high quality mead at low prices and serve the drinks in actual drinking horns, group tents for those who don't have their own along with the massive amounts of AHA kit provided for people to borrow in order to attend classes.

As well as the more common Historical European Martial Arts classes we provide classes in battlefield arts, missile weapons, cutting and many other more unique disciplines.

This year we also plan on having a birds of prey session as well as some other new activities that haven't been available before.

People who are not yet Academy members are welcome to join us on camp, in fact we enjoy the experience of meeting and training with outsiders! Many individuals who have come along as a guest to one of our Academy events have returned to take part in more of our events. Some such guests even end up becoming Academy members because they have enjoyed their experience so much! Our camps tend to be very enjoyable, participants enjoy themselves thoroughly and go home with many fond memories and stories.

The whole event is carefully planned to be an experience for all taking part, from complete beginner to advanced instructor we guarantee you will find this a unique, instructive and memorable event unmatched by any in the historical hobbyist world today.

If you can't come for the whole thing this year we are offering the opportunity to attend the weekend alone. Also it should be noted that this is an intense training camp, it is not a relaxing holiday but rather a carefully set pattern of events to ensure people gain the maximum out of their attendance. If you complete the camp we are sure you will agree it was a difficult but very worthwhile experience.

The booking system has gone online for this years camp event. Please read through the webpage and complete both the questionaire part and the shop part of the booking form. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the organisers via email: academy@triquetra-services.org and we will do our best to help you.

This years event is going to fill up fast so book early to avoid disappointment.
